A woman was arrested, accused of stealing water in the area of the Municipality of Kissamos, Chania, and at the same time a case was filed against a man.
Specifically, there were complaints about water theft from the municipal water supply network in areas of the Municipality of Kissamos in Chania, so police officers from the area’s Department, together with officers from the Chania Security and Police Operations Department, carried out targeted checks in the specific areas.
During the controls, seven illegal water supplies without a water meter were identified, which ended up in agricultural crops and a man and a woman were identified as the owners, of which only the woman was located and arrested, while a case was filed against the man.
The Municipality of Kissamos was informed about the isolation and interruption of the above illegal water supplies while the preliminary investigation continues by the Police Department of Kissamos.
Besides, in the area of the Municipality of Mylopotamos, Rethymno, two men accused of drugs were arrested by TAE police officers of the area. The police officers carried out a check on I.X.E. car in which the two men were riding and found a total of 223 grams of cannabis which they confiscated. In addition, the vehicle was confiscated as a means of facilitating illegal actions with the preliminary investigation being carried out by the Rethymnon Security Sub-Directorate.
