In October 2023, the Citroën has released one of the first new generation cars, both in terms of engine and design. We are talking about the E-C3, which is compared to the old C3 that has been transformed into an SUV. The price of the electric model is around 25,000 euros if incentives are excludedand in these last hours, the first rumors have reached what the price situation is for the combustion variant.

According to what was reported by various French sources, the thermal variant sold in France at this price also lacks a hybrid system and has a 102 horsepower turbo petrol engine, and to say that the cost of purchase this type could cause several problems for the whole electric version.

Who would spend 10 thousand euros more for an electric one when you can have one with petrol at lower costs? For this reason, Citroen’s move could be fruitless in terms of electricity, but it is clear that brands, in a period of difficulty, must increase sales volumes, and this is a reasoning made by most manufacturers. Also Audi e Mercedes has decided, while continuing to invest in electricity and presenting new BEVs, to push more on thermal in the moment, and the results prove this choice correct.

The Italian price list will be announced soon, and we expect a cost between 16 and 17 thousand euros., however lower than the current C3, which basically costs 18,350 euros.
