– We want positive, friendly relations with European countries, but at the same time we are fueling the biggest threat to European security since the end of the Cold War.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said that Germany cannot accept the rapprochement between China and Russia.

– If China openly seeks a closer partnership with Russia, which is waging an illegal war against Ukraine – we cannot accept that, Baerbock said.

– We appeal to China to use its influence on (Russian President Vladimir) Putin.

The concern of the prime ministers of the G7 countries was also recorded in the group’s statement. According to the group, the rise of the Russian military industry threatens international peace and security in addition to Ukraine.
