BBVA launches $2,000 scholarship for ‘inspiring kids’; This is how Mexican students can apply

With the aim of providing comprehensive support to Mexican students, the BBVA Foundation announced the ‘chavos que inspiran’ scholarship, which includes a package of financial compensation, extracurricular courses, vocational guidance and links with universities.

According to the company, the program has more than 47 thousand active scholarship recipients among young people from high school, high school and university with economic vulnerability.

Students who want to be part of the program must meet the age and average requirements stipulated in the call.

• Mexican nationality.
• Study first year of secondary school during the 2024 – 2025 school year.
• Minimum average of 8.0 during primary school.
• Need financial support.

BBVA Foundation offers $2,000 Mexican pesos as an initial amount to students who are in high school and if they meet the permanence requirements, they can continue with the support for up to 10 years.

Secondary: $2,000 pesos per month.

High school: $2,000 the first year, $2,500 the second year and $3,000 the third year.

College: $3,500 for the first year, $3,750 for the second year, $4,000 for the third year, and $4,500 for the fourth year.

In addition, during all years as beneficiaries, they will be able to participate in financial education, leadership, online English, employment preparation, digital and socio-emotional skills programs.

The registration process consists of 4 phases and a final stage, in which students must show their skills, socioeconomic level and personal information. You have from April 8 to May 17, 2024 to apply through the official BBVA Foundation website or at this link.

• CURP of the student and tutor.
• Mexican birth certificate.
• Current primary grade average.
• Secondary school data to enter.
• Documentation of the father, mother or legal guardian: INE, passport or driver’s license.
