At his big event SYRIZA in Tavros the 42 candidates who will fight the battle of the cross in the European elections were presented.

In addition to the 35 who emerged in the primary elections and the two current MEPs, Melpo Lekatsa, Despina Sinou, Violeta Kordatzi, Vassilis Papalazarou and Lydia Veneri were announced, who are personal choices of Stefanou Kasselakis.

THE Melpo Lekatsa she has in her resume the intense anti-dictatorship struggle. She experienced up close the events of the Polytechnic, since she was responsible for the makeshift pharmacy that had been set up. She was hunted for a long time, while she was arrested by the ETA ESA in December 1973. This is the nomination that Stefanos Kasselakis spoke about in yesterday’s Executive Office, declaring that he was particularly proud.
THE Miss Sinou is an assistant professor of Public Law and co-director of the International Cooperation and NGOs graduate program at the Sorbonne. He holds a PhD from the University of Pantheon Assas Paris 2 in Public International Law and holds two post-doctoral degrees.
He deals with international law, international politics, human rights and the social effects of the climate crisis. From 2013 to 2019 she was the coordinator of the French-speaking sections of the Academic Network for Social Rights.
H Violeta Kordatzis he is an Engineer specializing in the field of Automotive. He graduated from the Technical University of Crete, Cranfield University and has an MBA from Imperial College. It deals with data analysis and machine learning. He has worked at Jaguar Land Rover and Ford. He is a member of the SYRIZA Technology Think Tank.
THE Vassilis Papalazarou he is also a member of the Technology Think Tank. He studied Biology at EKPA. He holds an MSc in Molecular Pathology and Genetics from Queen Mary University of London and received his PhD from the University of Glasgow in Biomedical Engineering on a fellowship from Cancer Research UK. He worked at the CRUK Beatson Institute in Scotland and as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Glasgow. He is a postdoctoral researcher at the Francis Crick Institute in London. It participates in international cooperation networks and is present at international scientific conferences.
THE Lydia Venus she is a lawyer and a PhD candidate in international law. He specializes in issues of international and European Law, new technologies, personal data and artificial intelligence. He holds a master’s degree in Public International Law with an emphasis on human rights, defense and security issues, and holds a degree in journalism. She works as a legal advisor in Greece and abroad, while volunteering in NGOs supporting and promoting women in technology and business.
