Irina Bokova will open an exhibition with watercolors by Dechko Uzunov – 2024-04-19 21:17:27

The event will take place on September 28 at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Paris.

On September 28 of this year, at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Paris, the Ambassador of Bulgaria to France, Irina Bokova, who was elected as the new Director General of UNESCO on September 22, will open an exhibition of watercolors by the famous Bulgarian artist Dechko Uzunov.

The exhibition is organized on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the birth of Dechko Uzunov, and its official opening is on September 28 /Monday/ at 7:30 p.m. in the gallery of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Paris. The exposition includes 21 of his watercolors, owned by the Municipal Cultural Institute Gallery – Museum “Dechko Uzunov”. The exhibition is called “Watercolor is breathing” and is the result of the fruitful cooperation between the Bulgarian Cultural Institute – Paris and the Municipal Cultural Institute Gallery – Museum “Dechko Uzunov”. The official opening of the exhibition will be attended by the artist Georgi Trifonov – adviser in the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria, Galya Bezhanska – director of the “Culture” Directorate in Sofia Municipality, Diana Ignatova – director of the BKI in Paris and Boryana Pavlova – director of the Gallery – Museum “Dechko Uzunov”. Representatives of the French cultural community, Bulgarian intellectuals living in Paris, diplomats and representatives of UNESCO are also invited.
