500 Jerry Cans of Drug Waste Found in Amsterdam Residential Area

Around 500 jerry cans containing drug waste have been dumped in a residential area of ​​Amsterdam. The barrels, each with a capacity of twenty liters, were found in underground waste containers around Abraham Staalmanplein in Nieuw-West.

Enforcement officers detected a strong chemical odor at one of the containers yesterday morning and called for help, he wrote AT5. After the discovery, the city decided to investigate several ships around the square.

The jerry cans were found in nine underground containers on three streets. A specialist company was called in and separated the drug waste from the remaining waste from eight containers on site. It was 400 jerry cans. They are removed.

The ninth container of drug waste was taken to a municipal site and still needs to be emptied. The city plans to remove another 75 to 100 cans.
