NIMH has issued a yellow code for heavy rainfall for Saturday (April 20). It will be in force for the regions of Dobrich, Varna, Burgas, Yambol, Haskovo, Kardjali and Smolyan. In the Varna region, the amounts will be 25-35 mm.
By Sunday morning, precipitation will briefly stop in most areas, there will also be temporary breaks and reductions in cloudiness, the wind will be oriented from the south-southeast. Minimum temperatures will mostly be between 2° and 7°, daytime temperatures will rise by 2-3 degrees.
Over the next 24 hours, it will be cloudy with rain over the eastern half of the country. In places, the precipitation will be intense and significant in quantity, writes Meteo.bg.
Over the western half the clouds will break and decrease, during the day to mostly sunny. After noon, it will increase again from the west and there will be rain in places, mainly in the mountainous areas. A weak to moderate wind will blow from the north-northeast, which by the evening will move from the northwest and will be moderate in Eastern Bulgaria. Minimum temperatures will be between 2° and 7°, in the valleys of Southwestern Bulgaria up to 0°. Maximum temperatures will be between 13° and 18°. In Sofia, the minimum will be around 2°, the maximum – around 14°.
Cloudiness will be significant over the mountains. In many places there will be precipitation from rain, above 1700 m – from snow; mainly in the Rhodopes, Strandja and Sakar, the quantities will be significant. A moderate wind will blow from the east-northeast, which along the ridge until the evening will orient itself from the northwest. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 m will be around 4°, at 2000 m – around 0°.
Along the Black Sea, the weather will be cloudy and rainy, in places with significant amounts. A moderate north-easterly wind will blow, which will shift from the north-west until the evening. Maximum temperatures will be 12°-13°. The temperature of the sea water is from 11°-12° on the northern coast to 15° on the southern. The wave of the sea will be 2-3 bales.
