The National Commission for Micro and Small Businesses, CONAMYPESV, accompanies the country’s productive sector through different programs to enhance their companies, strengthen themselves and become professional, through training, advice and workshops provided by said Commission. This was announced this morning by Paul Steiner, president of the institution.
The government, together with different State entities, continues to support the country’s micro and small entrepreneurs, with the aim of growing and expanding their businesses, recognizing them as an important link in the Salvadoran economy.
Steiner, president of CONAMYPESV, stressed that the purpose is to guide them on how to manage their company and continue working to lead the MYPE towards the path of formalization; He also detailed that there are 980 large companies, 1,650 medium-sized, 17,000 small, 270,000 micro and 850 thousand self-employed workers and small farmers.
Currently more than 1.1 million that are classified as micro and small businesses are covered under the Promotion, Protection and Development Law, one of the benefits of formalizing a company is access to financing and these opportunities to access these resources are being provided by state banking, as one of the mechanisms for the transformation of micro and small businesses.
