“Gunpowder” in the Middle East, following dozens of reports of missile strikes from Israel toward Iran early Friday in response to last weekend’s Iranian attack. The American media were the first to report on the attack, noting that the Biden administration had been briefed on the operation.
According to what the networks broadcast ABC, CBS and CNN it was at least three missile strikes from Israel in the Iran. As they say, the US was informed about the attack. So far there has been no official confirmation from the Israel.
On his part, the Iran denies reports of an Israeli attack, noting that activated anti-aircraft defense systems in various cities, Iranian state media reported. State radio and television reported that explosions were heard in Isfahan, in the central part of the Islamic Republic.
“Air defense systems were activated in some areas as a precaution. Our reports note that no large-scale attacks or explosions caused by an aerial threat have been recorded,” the Iranian news agency said, according to CNN.

THE White House has not commented so far. Asked about this by AFP, a Pentagon spokesman limited himself to answering “we have nothing to say at the moment”.
The Israel announced this week that it would retaliate against Iran’s attack over the weekend with more than 350 drones and missiles, almost all of which were destroyed in flight.
