“You have the blood of Palestinian children on your hands,” shouted a protester, interrupting her Ursula von der Leyenduring her speech at the European Defense and Security Summit.
The man abruptly interrupted the European official, whom he described as a criminal, regarding what is happening in the Gaza Strip against the Palestinian civilian population.
The man, as can be heard in the video below, shouts:
“Ms von der Leyen, this is a citizen’s arrest! They accuse you of aiding the genocide in Gaza! You have expressed full support for Israel at the beginning of this genocide! You have the blood of Palestinian children on your hands! You are a criminal, Mrs von der Leyen! You must be in The Hague! You shouldn’t be here. You should not be looking for a second term! You are a war criminal! Free Palestine! Free Palestine!”

Von der Leyen, who remained unfazed during the unexpected incident, then began her intervention by thanking her hosts for the invitation.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I’m glad to be here,” he said.
