Authorities in Veere Crack Down on Vulnerability with Joint Survey, Recover Stolen Cars

By: Eugène Hartoorn

VEERE – In order to identify and address vulnerability in the town of Veere, a joint survey was held on Tuesday, April 16, at various industrial estates in the town of Veere. Among other things, two stolen cars were found.

The investigation was carried out in collaboration with the police, Customs, the Regional Enforcement Service and the District intervention team. According to the city of Veere, the vast pool of abilities and powers makes it possible to bundle knowledge and powers and, if desired, directly address a weak situation.

The authorities look back on a ‘successful’ evening. Several environmental violations were noted. For example, the mandatory environmental statement was not complied with. The town also suspected that people were living in a place where this was not allowed according to the zoning plan. In addition, two stolen cars were found. The police and municipalities will investigate this further.

During this inspection evening there was also an opportunity to contact entrepreneurs and other people who were present on the site and raise awareness among them about weakening. This included the distribution of information packs.
