The veteran, who won seven SM golds (with Umeå and Rosengård), one Olympic silver and was in the Champions League final with Umeå twice, was missing in the women’s Swedish Premier League.
For South Sweden tells Berglund about the happy news, that a pregnancy is behind it.
– It feels very natural in a way, but at the same time terrifying. I have a leg in elite sports, but I won’t be involved like I usually am. It’s obviously weird, but it’s for a very good reason. There is a lot to digest, she says.
She herself feels unsure about what will happen to her career after the pregnancy.
– The feeling now is that I don’t really know. I’ll have to feel around and see. It’s hard to close the door like that (she says, snapping her fingers). Not least after the end of last season when I was injured, says Berglund to Sydsvenskan.
