I am encouraged by the prospect that the US Congress will approve new aid to Ukraine in the coming days, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said today at a press conference at the alliance’s headquarters with the Prime Ministers of the Netherlands Mark Rutte, Denmark. Fiala suggested that the delivery of half a million shells, provided by an initiative with Prague, in which other friends are also involved, will begin in June.
The Europeans have done a lot for Ukraine so far, but more is needed, said Prime Minister Frederiksen. According to her, part of the European air defense systems should be sent to the side of Ukraine.
Prime Minister Rutte noted that allies were needed to produce more air defense assets. According to him, Ukraine should continue to receive weapons and equipment from the stockpiles of NATO countries and buy additional weapons from the world defense market.
