Bank employees in Brazil were faced with an incredible sight on Tuesday (April 16) when a woman and a man in a wheelchair came as customers to sign for a loan, with the man looking pale. It was later found that he was…dead.
More specifically, according to local media, the application was for a loan of 17,000 Brazilian reals (3,000 euros) and when it came time to sign, the man did not react.
“Uncle can you hear me? You must sign. I can’t sign for you” said the woman, who then claimed to be the man’s niece and his carer.
«I don’t believe what you are doing is legal. It doesn’t look very good sir. He is very pale” said the bank employee, with the woman replying “that’s how it always is” and addressing the – dead – man in the wheelchair “if you don’t feel well I can take you to the hospital. Do you want to go back to the hotel?”
In fact, she insisted and kept asking the man to sign, the woman can be heard shouting at him then “sign here and stop bothering me”.
Finally, rescuers were called to the bank branch and found that 68-year-old Paulo Roberto Braga, as the man’s name was, had ended up a few hours earlier. The woman who was with him was then arrested while it is being investigated whether she acted alone.
in Rio de Janeiro Brazil a women (Érika de Souza Vieira Nunes) took the corpse of an elderly man into a bank to try to take out a loan of R$17,000 (USD $3,400), local Brazil media reported.
