/ world today news/ It seems to me that the inclusion of Prof. Anastas Gerdzhikov, whom I do not know personally, in the candidate presidential campaign – with the support of a political formation that is tangibly suspected in Europe and in our country of serious corruption sins and abuse of power – has no to contribute to increasing the academic legitimacy of our alma mater and native education.
The professor has already registered experience in the NDSV government as Deputy Minister of Education, but his scientific specialties have nothing to do with political expertise for the president of the state, especially in the fields of foreign policy or the bosom of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
Regarding his contribution to SU, the following stand out in my mind:
First: The alma mater is now listed on its own page as the University of St. Clement of Ohrid. What is it? Europeanization? “Yankee-zation”? “Slaughter” of Balkan-national complexes?
Second: The “witch hunt” in modern conditions with the dismissal (or termination of the civil contract) of Prof. Mihail Mirchev on the denunciation of an anonymous Sorosoid “student” organization. Prof. Gerdzhikov did not believe the scientific-patriotic analysis-response of Prof. Mirchev before the Ethics Commission, giving way to the option that the “university” worked very well with pro-Gypsy and Jewish organizations.
Is it relevant to the topic, the fact that in the local elections in 2015, Prof. Mihail Mirchev (son of Stoyan Mihailov, ex-Secretary of the Central Committee of the BKP on ideology, overthrown by Todor Zhivkov) took third place in the race for mayor of the capital after Yordanka Fandakova and Vili Lilkov?
According to personal impressions of Prof. Gerdzhikov’s candidate for vice president: an ex-athlete, far from the achievements of Stucky and the Cobra, an over-ambitious official in uniform, a chronic general candidate. For now, Colonel-General. Centuries ago, it was the scale of Blaga Dimitrova, the selfless patriotism of Todor Kavaldzhiev, the military precision of Gen. Angel Marin, from Iliana Yotova’s European expertise…
