It is not uncommon to see Internet users repeating logos clubsespecially FC Nantes. This is the case for Alexandre, nicknamed Alex.
He is originally from Isère (38), Alex has been in Montpellier for a long time where he worked in a communications agency as a creative manager. But since 2011, it is on the Loire-Atlantique side that he has been working in the graphic design and communication.
with friends, the 42 year old man also took over the operation of the old “Foot Indoor de Sautron” in 2023, with the name “now” The Thought ».

“I find that the current logo has no historical codes and does not reflect the history of the club” Alexandre
« As I am passionate about football and graphics, I wanted to give a personal tribute to the club, in my own way. I did not want to create a new logo to replace the current one, which I find is well executed. But I find that there are no historical codes and it does not reflect the history of the club. When creating a logo, in my opinion, we should not forget the main elements or history of a club to the detriment of movement. He takes shortcuts. »
Using the software Adobe IllustratorAlexandre was inspired by old FCNA logoswhere we find important symbols associated with club identity and culture.
« The idea was therefore to respect the history of the club, to accept its codes and to be a bit nostalgic. To do this I was inspired by the logos of 1968 and 1977, which are iconic and unique. So I updated these logos by incorporating the important elements for the club and the city: schooner, ermine, stars… And for the jersey, what could a be more historic and memorable than the Europe 1 jersey! »
“FC Nantes is much more than just a team, it’s a local culture. ” Alexander
After spending several years in Montpellier, Alex has a penchant for MSc. But he admits he was quickly caught yellow and green hunger.
« Which team should I support? It is inevitable that my time in Montpellier left its mark with the years of Giroud, Belhanda, Cabella, Camara… and Dernis (laughs). Obviously I have been to La Mosson many times and I am still a supporter of this team.
When I arrived in Nantes in 2011, I was called “the Montpellier”. It was good for the FC NANTES / Montpellier HSC rivalry.
After that, make no mistake, Montpellier is not a football town, unlike Nantes. FC Nantes is much more than just a team, it’s a local culture. So I naturally fell under the spell of FC Nantes. When you go to La Beaujoire for the first time, it still feels something… fun and a unique atmosphere. »
Many thanks to Alexandre (@asbv_b) for this exchange period.
