Nobel Prize winner expresses concern about Argentina’s support for Israel

Buenos Aires. Nobel Peace Prize winner Adolfo Pérez Esquivel today expressed his concern about the Argentine Government’s support for Israel and the decision-making without consulting the people of that South American country.

In an interview given to the radio station AM750the fighter for human rights warned that President Javier Milei takes positions and involves this nation in a conflict of which it is not a party without taking into account citizen opinion.

This is serious, he asserted.

Milei is acting against the Argentine people and humanity. Instead of working for peace, she is seeking to get involved in the conflict and purchases fighter jets. There is no money for the people, but there is for a war, she indicated.

On the other hand, he pointed out that the possible intervention of the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in the confrontations between Israel and Iran could lead “to a third world war, with unforeseeable consequences for life on the entire planet.”

Likewise, he stated that a nuclear confrontation “would be tragic for all humanity.”

I call on the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, to convene a general assembly with the aim of establishing the path of dialogue to resolve this conflict before it is too late, he indicated.

“You have to have a lot of courage to make peace. Continuing in this will plunge us into a nuclear conflict after which not even a fly will be left,” he said.
