SKELLEFTEÅ. Frölunda completely collapsed in the third period and lost a three-goal lead.

But the team got up and decided the fifth semi-final against Skellefteå in the mud.

– I think TV4 should somehow be able to give us an extra kroner, says Frölunda’s coach Roger Rönnberg after the 4-3 victory.

It’s not over until it’s over.

Skellefteå and Frölunda showed it in different ways in the fifth SC semi-final.

The home team from Västerbotten was responsible for a pick-up that was called enough, scored three unanswered goals in the third period and took the match to overtime. But Frölunda got up there and reduced to 2–3 in matches.

– It’s a sick relief, says match hero Linus Högberg in TV4 Play.

The hill was speechless

Back Oskar Nilsson said on TV4 Play after the second period that he was goalless and that he did not recognize his team. There and then Frölunda led 3–0 after Skellefteå had had major problems with both the defensive and the offensive.

The question is whether Nilsson was also scoreless after the third period – but for other reasons.

Pickup in the third

Simon Robertsson reduced early. Halfway into the period, 2-3 also came when Dylan Sikura found the right and all of a sudden the western bottoms were seriously involved in the match.

With four minutes left, the equalizer also came.

Filip Sandberg hit the puck on a volley and after a long video review it was found that the club was under the crossbar, the goal was approved and the match went to extra time.

Fit for TV4

There, however, Linus Högberg, who last season played in Skellefteå, stepped forward for Frölunda and scored the decisive goal.

– At some point, Skellefteå will lose in overtime, we thought. I think TV4 should somehow be able to give us an extra kroner through our series going to seven games, says Frölunda’s coach Roger Rönnberg jokingly at the press conference.

– We are able to sort out periods when the game does not sit. It’s an awfully good race by the group. They have decided that they want to move on, it shows, says Rönnberg.

Skellefteå leads with 3–2 in matches. The next match will be played in Gothenburg on Tuesday.

– From the time we robbed Frölunda it felt almost the opposite until the end, even though they were much better than us in two periods. We should do things better. I thought we would be better from the start but we weren’t, says Skellefteå’s coach Robert Ohlsson.
