Joe Biden assured that the US armed forces had a hand in shooting down “almost all” of the drones and missiles launched Saturday night into Sunday by Iran against Israel, adding that he reaffirmed the US’s “unwavering” support for the Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu during their telephone conversation earlier, according to a statement released by his White House services.
The American president also added that he will convene a meeting of the G7 leaders today, in order to have a “unified diplomatic response” to the “shameless” attack by Iran.
Also, Joe Biden stressed during his conversation with Benjamin Netanyahu that his administration would oppose any Israeli counterattack on Iran, US news website Axios reported, citing a White House source familiar with what was said between the US president and the Israeli Prime Minister.
I condemn Iran’s attacks in the strongest possible terms and reaffirm America’s ironclad commitment to the security of Israel.

Intercepted 99% of drones and missiles
Iran fired more than 300 drones and missiles at Israel overnight, 99 percent of which were shot down, Israel’s military said today, adding that the armed forces remained fully operational and were discussing options for moving forward.
In a televised briefing to reporters, the chief military spokesman, Rear Admiral Daniel Haggari, called Iran’s actions “very serious” and said they were “pushing the region towards escalation.”
