/ world today news/ On the Day of People’s Awakeners, Vice President Iliyana Yotova opened a bust-monument of Prof. Hristina Vucheva – statesman, economist, teacher, public figure – at the Professional High School of Economics and Management in Pazardzhik. “I had the honor of knowing Prof. Vucheva personally – a person with great will, a strong spirit, a professional. And above all, a person with a warm smile that encouraged,” Yotova pointed out. In her words, behind the numbers and calculations, Prof. Vucheva was looking for policies for the people, revealing the schemes and lobbying interests, therefore “few politicians liked to consult with her”.
“Unfortunately, as of today, the famous phrase of Prof. Vucheva is relevant – Bulgaria is a kingdom of highways.” She warned that the control systems for the protection of the public interest are under permanent anesthesia, but few voices listened to her,” said Iliana Yotova.
To the management and teachers of the Vocational High School of Economics and Management, the vice president addressed a greeting on the Day of People’s Awakeners, emphasizing their role as modern awakeners. “Spirituality is encoded in the soul of every Bulgarian. With will, faith and dedication, you are constantly ringing the bell of the Bulgarian Revival. We rely on you to guide us through the difficult moments of lack of spirituality, to pass on to the generations the primordial Bulgarian virtues”, stressed Iliyana Yotova.
