Ministry of Labor and Social Protection noticed republican cleaning day participants on security measures at events. They are scheduled for April 20. Traditionally, during the cleaning work, Belarusians are engaged in beautifying the landscape and putting in order workplaces, objects and areas of settlements, historical and cultural values, memorial centers, places of military and military glory during the Great Patriotic War.
The employer must take care that if employees are working in their workplace during the cleaning, it is necessary to ensure that working conditions are healthy and safe as usual. Otherwise, they should be given targeted training on labor protection for the type of work performed.
When doing targeted training, employees must be checked about their health status. Workers should not be admitted if their health worsens due to cold or illness. Also, people under the influence of alcohol or drugs, workers who do not have adequate training to perform high-risk work, and workers who are not provided with personal protective equipment should not be allowed to work.
The employer must ensure compliance with the standards for lifting and moving heavy objects by hand by women involved in cleaning – no more than 7 kg. Precautions should also be taken to prevent collisions with equipment and injuries from moving parts of operating machinery and equipment.
The Ministry of Labor also drew attention to the fact that the necessary tools, equipment and personal protective equipment (gloves or mittens, must be given to workers involved in the cleaning work, when they work on the road – vests signs, when working on a construction site). – safety helmets).
