Cristiano Ronaldo signed one of the biggest contracts in sports history with Al-Nassr.

He left Europe and Manchester United in a strong divorce, to join the Middle East and Saudi Arabia where he has been playing ever since. By signing to Al Nassr at the beginning of January 2023, Cristiano Ronaldo received one of the most lucrative contracts of sports history. His annual salary would be around 200 million euros, making him the highest paid footballer in the world.

Short of the 500-day milestone for Cristiano Ronaldo

So this is equivalent to the daily salary of almost 547,945 euros. That means that Cristiano Ronaldo has already pocketed the quick sum of 257.5 million euros since his arrival. His aura has undoubtedly improved the profile of the Saudi Pro League and may have contributed to the arrival of other stars such as Neymar, Sadio Mané or Roberto Firmino.

Under contract until 2025 with Al-Nassr

If his performance on the pitch remains impressive with 56 goals in 62 games, Ronaldo’s behavior has sometimes been questionable. Funny moves and a recent red card after an elbow have marred his record. Tied to Al Nassr until 2025, the Portuguese could extend their stay in Saudi Arabia. It remains to be seen whether his level of play and his attitude towards his employer will continue this fruitful partnership.
