The Women’s League does not stop, and heads directly to the quarterfinals, which after the eighth round, two more teams were present, these are Municipal Limeño and Isidro Metapán, who joined Jocoro, Águila and Alianza.
As a visitor, Limeño booked its ticket to the quarterfinals by beating Firpo’s pampero team 1-2, thanks to goals from Norma Canales and Idalia Durán, while Jéssica Vigil scored for the locals.
Isidro Metapán also entered the second round of the championship, despite the goalless draw he sealed against the Tecleño team in Las Delicias.
The national women’s classic was undoubtedly for the alliance players, who with goals from Andrea Recinos, Pamela Sibrián and Norma Mendoza, defeated FAS in the FESFUT.
In the remaining matches, Jocoro maintained its firm pace and with a 7-0 win led by Ismelda Cruz’s double, plus the goals from Katherine Herrera, Ingrid Vanessa Reyes, Sandra Tamacas and Damaris Quelez, the team will continue to be at the top from group A.
Águila also equaled Jocoro’s score, as the team beat Fuerte San Francisco 7-0 and Platense, for its part, also took the three points by beating Once Deportivo 3-0.
