Serious Traffic Accident on County Road 561 in Øygarden: Man Airlifted to Haukeland

There has been a traffic accident on Søre Sæle on Blomøy in Øygarden. It was reported by 110 West on X at 16.12. Emergency services on their way to the scene.

At 16:38, the West police district reports that the person is on his way to Haukeland in an air ambulance.

There is an 80 zone on the site.

A man is said to have driven into a rock wall. Major material damage, all emergency services on their way to the scene, says duty commander Tore Fanebust at the 110 central.

– It is a serious accident, says the watch commander.

The air ambulance is on its way to the scene, Fanebust further informs.

– As it appears, the vehicle has left the roadway and hit a rock wall on the right and then over into the guardrail on the other side, as it appears, says police task leader Tom Johannessen to BT at the scene.

– He is now being taken care of by the healthcare system, says Johannessen further.

County road 561 is closed, i.e. the main road that runs from Kolltveit and north into Øygarden.

Just after 4:30 p.m., the police report that the air ambulance is at the scene where a car has driven into the rock wall at Rong in Øygarden.

According to the fire service, the road will be closed for quite some time. That’s what West Police District writes at X.
