Jessica Almenäs made herself known to the Swedish people as presenter of TV4’s “News Morning”, but in 2016 she left the channel for Kanal 5. During last year, however, she appeared in a different context – as presenter of the hit series “Love is blind” on Netflix.
She tells Expressen that it feels good to be the face of the popular dating program.
– There aren’t that many programs you get to do in your career that get the impact that “Love is blind” actually got. It is definitely a program that I am proud to be the face of, says Almenäs.
Have you noticed the international interest on a personal level?
– The British gossip press hasn’t started calling yet anyway, but I’ve got a few more foreign followers. There were many people from abroad who wrote to me precisely in connection with that reunion– episode was released. Then I received a lot of praise from abroad.
She says that viewers thought she asked the right questions and handled the discussions well.
Jessica Almenäs: “Not happened for many years”
The presenter says she did not expect the show to be such a success.
– I almost didn’t think it was possible to have such an impact on television, she notes.
Another thing she noticed, which speaks for the program’s success, is that young guys and girls come forward and want to take selfies with her now.
– That hasn’t happened in many years, I can say. So I have lowered the average age of those who recognize me, I think, she laughs.
Future seasons then? Will there be more of you as presenter?
– Yes, it will be. I will also do the next season of “Love is blind”.
