Iran has privately warned the United States that if it intervenes in potential hostilities between Iranian and Israeli forces, it will attack American forces in the region.
The portal reported this Axios with reference to three American officials, writes “European Truth”.
According to Axios interlocutors, Iran has told several Arab governments in recent days that it holds the United States responsible for Israel’s attack on its Damascus consulate – which Washington categorically denies.

“The Iranian message was that we will attack the forces that attack us, so don’t joke with us and we won’t joke with you,” one said.
According to US intelligence cited by Axios, the Iranians can only attack US troops if they join an Israeli counteroffensive. It is unclear whether Tehran’s threats included other options for its actions against the United States.
Iran’s warning comes as the United States and Israel prepare for an Iranian strike on Israeli soil in the coming days in response to an attack on Tehran’s Consulate General in Damascus that killed seven Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps soldiers.
American officials believe that Iran already April 12 could launch “more than 100 drones and dozens of missiles” into Israel, targeting military targets.
After this, the Israel Defense Forces reported that it was recorded from Lebanese territory at least 40 missile launchesfor which the pro-Iranian group Hezbollah claimed responsibility.
