At the time when Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis presented the government’s national strategy to combat intra-school violence, another incident was taking place.
This is an incident of three high school students being beaten by classmates in the courtyard of the Pefka school, in Thessaloniki. Five students, 13 and 14 years old, were arrested for their involvement in the incident, and after being brought before the criminal prosecution prosecutor, they were released.
The Police are investigating any criminal responsibilities of the school’s teachers, as the incident happened during a school trip.
According to the Police, the victims, students of the 1st High School, for an unknown reason, were attacked by students of the 2nd High School. However, they did not need to be taken to a hospital for first aid.
