Unofficial Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Port Receives Game-Changing Updates: Patch 1.3.6 and 1.3.7 Released!

The Brazilian developers of the unofficial port of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 have recently released two updates for the game: 1.3.6 and 1.3.7, which fixed many of the problems that were present in the game, and also added a number of pleasant innovations.

Patch Contents

  • Symbiote sounds added in the latest update are now at a lower volume for a better listening experience;
  • Fixed car paint shader: red lines are no longer visible and car paint does not flicker;
  • Fixed the bullet flight shader with Spider-Sense now working in any lighting;
  • Fixed shader for medical display;
  • Fixed dog screen shader;
  • Fixed Miles’ phone and laptop screen shader;
  • Fixed Norman’s monitor;
  • Temporary fix for demon shaders;
  • Fixed more animated billboard shaders;
  • Fixed campfire shaders;
  • Fixed shaders for black floating boxes around the city;
  • Fixed several billboards in Times Square;
  • Improved Hunter body paint shader;
  • New grass shaders.
  • Added a new symbiotic fluid shader;
  • Fixed many other shaders.

However, perhaps one of the most important innovations of the new updates is a new experimental setting – with its help the user can apply compression to game files. According to the authors, this is a rather lengthy procedure, but it is worth it: the size of the game distribution is reduced from 250 GB to ~150 GB. In addition, the ability to conveniently switch the type of buttons from different gamepads, be it Xbox or Dualsense, has been added to the game settings.

For now Sony has not yet announced an official port of the game for PC, but according to leaked internal documents Insomniac Gamesits release is scheduled for 2025.
