Thomas Krider, a well-known Elvis Presley impersonator and tour guide at a “Star Trek” museum in upstate New York, was the victim of an apparent homicide at his partner’s home.
The Sheriff’s Office Saratoga County reported Tuesday that Krider, who worked under the stage name TJ Greene, had been found dead in the town of Milton, three days after his wife reported him missing.
The arrest of Ronald Rayher (69) – Krider’s alleged furtive partner – was also announced, who was accused of homicide and tampering with physical evidencereported NBC News.
According to authorities, Rayher allegedly killed Krider at his home in Milton on April 5. Apparently the suspect, a retired chiropractoradministered a substance called chloroform more than once and also allegedly tampered with and suppressed evidence after the incident.
Krider’s wife, Heidi Greene, told the Times Union that her husband had left home on Friday to pick up a piece of furniture. She was supposed to return to work as a tour guide that weekend, as well as to participate in a special event during the solar eclipsebut he was not heard from again.
Saratoga County Undersheriff Jeffrey Brown confirmed that Rayher and Krider had been in a relationship for about 10 years and said that The chloroform was administered consensually during what was described as a sexual encounter.
According to court documents, officials stated that Krider, who He was bound and immobilized at the time of his deathdied after being administered chloroform “more than once.”
Rayher was arraigned in Milton Municipal Court and sent to the Saratoga County Jail. The sheriff’s department confirmed that more charges could be filed as this is an ongoing investigation. He is due back in court in May.
All charges are mere accusations and those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
