René van der Gijp was annoyed by Lilian Marijnissen and Sam Hagens on Wednesday evening in the broadcast of Today Inside. The two guests were critical of Johan Derksen, after his comments about MP Habtamu de Hoop.
Van der Gijp kept a low profile during Wednesday’s broadcast, but a day later spit his bile about Marijnissen and Hagens. “I am allergic to being spoken to in a pedantic manner. As soon as someone does that, I say: let’s be different now. Especially Sam and Lilian… That’s why I always hated it when she stood in front of the microphone in the House of Representatives, because she spoke like that. I didn’t like that tone at all.”

Marijnissen, former party leader of the SP in the House of Representatives, said he ‘really’ did not understand why Derksen made the statements about De Hoop. Hagens, parliamentary reporter for SBS6, asked Derksen why he ‘just can’t get back to it’. Derksen accused him of a ‘fatherly’ tone and Van der Gijp was also bothered, although he felt no need to make that clear on Wednesday. “No, I didn’t need that.”
