In a discussion held today at the National Security Committee, Knesset member Tali Gottlieb claimed that the left-wing demonstrations weakened the strength of the state. “For a year preceding the October inferno, for a year there were demonstrations, encouraging refusals.” After MK Karin Elharer warned her, MK Gottlieb said: “Karin be quiet.” Later, Gottlieb added: “On the seventh of October – the right in its nobility was silent.”

Tali Gottlieb on Merav Ben Ari: “Shrill”
Later in the discussion, Gottlieb personally addressed Knesset member Merav Ben Ari. “The barbaric style of Merav Ben Ari cannot be tolerated,” she said, calling her a “squealer”, after the latter responded by saying that the abductees and their families are of no interest to the protestors.
