After an even start, it was more and more Barcelona’s game, with the team creating a couple of good chances midway through the first half – including a Robert Lewandowski header that Nuno Mendes cleared on the goal line.
At the end of the first half, the 1–0 goal came to Barcelona through Raphinha, who capitalized on a mistake by PSG goalkeeper Donnarumma.
PSG’s response came almost immediately in the second half. In the 48th minute, Ousmane Dembélé scored the equaliser, just three minutes later it was 2-1 to PSG by Vitinha and the turnaround was a fact.
However, Barcelona would come back. With just over an hour played, Raphinha accounted for his second goal in the match until 2-2 after a perfect run and delicious finish.
The guests were then also able to regain the lead through 3–2 by substitute Dane Andreas Christensen, who thus ensured that it is Barcelona’s advantage in the quarter-final return.
In Wednesday’s second Champions League meeting, Atletico Madrid won against Dortmund 2–1. The home team got off to a tasty start to the match when Dortmund’s Ian Maatsen made a mistake deep in his own half, and the ball ended up at Rodrigo De Paul, who could make it 1-0 for Atletico Madrid.
Barely half an hour later, Samuel Lino was able to extend the lead. The reduction came in the final minutes from Dortmund’s Sébastien Haller.
