British Foreign Minister David Cameron commented on the risk of influence of Russian propaganda on Republicans in the United States and urged “not to listen to Putin’s lies about Ukraine.”
It is reported Bloombergreports Ukrinform.
“Lies manage to go half way around the world while the truth is putting on its boots… Don’t listen to Putin’s lies about Ukraine. This is a free democracy that wants to be an independent sovereign country that wants to be our ally and our friend, and we have to stand by our friends because the world will be watching if we don’t,” Cameron said on MSNBC.
He also called on the US Congress to consider aid to Ukraine as an “investment in American security” that would help repel Russian occupiers and curb Putin’s ambitions.
“My request to the American congressmen is that this is really an investment in American security… Ninety percent of what you spend will go to create jobs here in America, and you can make a decisive contribution to making Ukraine again got back on its feet, and to convince them not to allow Putin to win,” he said.

Cameron visited the United States this week, where he held a number of meetings with high-ranking American officials and discussed support for Ukraine in the context of Russian aggression.
As reported by Ukrinform, The Washington Post wrote that Russia, with the help of its “troll factory” and political technologists, is conducting a campaign aimed at disrupting the support of Ukraine from the US and inflaming anti-Ukrainian sentiments.
