He could enjoy a well-deserved retirement, but he doesn’t want that. “I’m happy to still be active and there’s still a lot to do,” legendary musician Stanislav Hložek, who will celebrate his 70th birthday this year, told ŽivotvČesku.cz. In the context of the editor’s question about how he is doing, he further stated that he earns extra money for his pension with music and is doing well. Every week, in the vernacular, he commutes between Prague and Moravia, where he has a house belonging to his parents.
Eighties idol Stanislav Hložek is an unforgettable pop star. Many people still remember that together with Petr Kotvald he created a legendary hit called Girls from our Kindergarten, which is still heard on the radio and at discotheques.
As for how he is currently doing, he told ŽivotvČesku.cz that he is satisfied. Especially when it comes to his music production. “I’m still driving in the same rhythm, at least I feel like it. I have concerts with a band, but also performances without a band. I perform on the radio in Zlín and I am still fed by what I love, which is music,” explained Stanislav Hložek, who is planning a big celebration of his 70th birthday this September.
From the words of the artist, it is clear that he still has something to do and is active. “People around me even tell me that I should slow down, that I should cut back,” the singer further revealed to ŽivotvČesku.cz that he has no room for rest.
“I also go to Moravia every week, where I have a house belonging to my parents. And whoever owns such a property knows very well that there is always something to do there. So I don’t get bored and I don’t find much time to relax. Although actually the mentioned activity is a kind of relaxation for me” added the renowned musician to ŽivotvČesku.cz.
