Before the start of the new summer season, the mayor Dimitar Nikolov issued an order regulating the places and time of stay of tourist buses during the current summer season in Burgas.
This is done in order not to get traffic jams on the streets and not to disrupt the public transport schedule in the summer.
Tourist buses entering the city of Burgas for the purpose of shopping tours, visits to museums, galleries and other tourist trips will be allowed to stay for no more than 15 minutes upon arrival — for disembarking passengers and 15 minutes upon departure — for boarding passengers.
The places where this will happen are:
– “Stefan Stambolov” Blvd., in the pocket in front of Burgas Free University — 1 bus place;
– “24th Black Sea Infantry Regiment” Blvd., in the area of ”Flora” Exhibition Center (in both directions) — 1 bus place;
– “Alexander Battenberg” street, in the direction of “Primorets” hotel, after the barrier of Burgas port – 1 bus place.
The parking places specified by the order will be signaled with the corresponding vertical and horizontal markings, according to the Road Traffic Act, and after unloading the passengers, the buses will be directed to a guarded municipal parking lot behind DCC II (Third Polyclinic), with the address: Burgas city, “Gen. Gurko” No. 62.
The movement of buses performing occasional transports in the BUS-lanes, as well as stopping and staying at bus stops along the intra-city transport routes, is also prohibited.
