Abba, the subject of national pride, was spectacularly celebrated in Sweden last week. On Saturday, April 6, it was 50 years since the band won the Eurovision Song Contest Waterloowith his song. This was the first time Sweden won by five.
At the 50th anniversary celebrations of Waterloo organized in Stockholm, Sweden’s King Charles Kustaa was represented and Queen Silvia. The royal couple was a sought-after conversation partner and many guests flocked around them.
The details of Queen Silvia’s green outfit could have hints of the Abba spirit and the 70s. The collars and pants of Silvia’s pantsuit had spectacular embroidered details. Gold-toned accessories crowned the queen’s outfit.
Kaarle Kustaa’s dark blue suit did not play too much with the party theme.

A rare publication
In honor of the celebration, Abba published an extraordinary post on social media, in which, among other things, they returned to their memorable victory. The letter was signed by the entire lineup: Agnetha Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson.
– What were our dreams in those exciting moments or in that chaos when we won with the smallest margin in Eurovision history? They were undoubtedly four different dreams, but however great they were, reality has surpassed them. It is certain, the article reflects.
The band thanked their fans profusely for the love they received.
Although Abba has released new music in the 2020s, the band has not been seen on stage together anymore.
However, the band made a return to the concert stages as digital figures. In the Abba Voyage show conjured up in London’s Abba Arena, virtual characters play beloved singers. The show took years to build. An 850-person team was modeling the singers’ movements and performance and walking styles.
