The Prince of Persia franchise will return with a new game much sooner than many might have expected. Now the authors of Dead Cells will show their vision
Ubisoft recently recalled the Prince of Persia franchise from the metroidvania The Lost Crown. Now they will show a “bagel” from the authors of Dead Cells.
The new project was called The Rogue Prince of Persia, a page appeared on Steam with the following description:
«Help the prince fight back the Hun army, which has fallen under the influence of the dark magic of the shamans, and take your place in the royal family while exploring the colorful Persia. Get a full picture of what is happening and explore new areas. Engage in battle again and again and meet colorful characters as you progress through nonlinear plot.
Seamlessly transition from platforming to combat and use acrobatic abilities to outsmart your enemies. Perform classic wall runs to find new attack opportunities, avoid traps, and open up new areas. Strike and dodge groups of enemies if circumstances turn against youwith».
The Rogue Prince of Persia genre is described as roguelite and is scheduled for release on May 14, 2024. They promise that this will be a dynamic, complex and at the same time accessible game.
