The state of reserves and oil production in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, where 40% of all Russian oil comes from, is alarming for the Russian economy.

The Internet is discussing information that The situation with oil reserves in Russia looks even worse than previously thought. It turned out that the state of reserves and oil production in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, where 40% of all Russian oil comes from, is alarming for the Russian economy.

Russian oil and gas industry expert Mikhail Krutikhin on your social network page Facebook published a photograph in which you can see the level of “well fluid” in Russian oil wells. Samples were taken from 15 major fields in the district. Krutikhin emphasizes that more than 90% of the substrate extracted from wells is water.

“And the dirty film on top is that same oil,” – he notes. According to Krutikhin, such a tiny amount of oil casts doubt on the profitability of maintaining such production.

According to Russian technologies, water is pumped into the formation in separate wells to displace oil to the top. Subsequently, water begins to dominate as the amount of oil falls. In old Russian fields, the amount of water reaches 98-99%.

Earlier it was reported that the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery was completely shut down.
