Fio Bank reports complications with duplicate posting of some transactions made with Visa cards. “We know about the problems and we are intensively solving the situation with Visa,” the bank assures clients.
However, duplicate transactions will be returned within a few days, the bank writes on social networks.
Some clients on the networks claim that the problems have been going on for three days. “We are dealing with the duplicate posting of part of the card transactions from Thursday last week. We are working intensively to ensure that duplicated transactions are returned to clients as soon as possible. This is not a cyber attack,” says bank spokesman Jakub Heřmánek.
When asked by Peníze.cz, Visa refused to comment on payment problems and referred to Fio bank.
Fio Bank offers a debit card to a current account from both Visa and Mastercard. However, she did not find any problems with Mastercard transactions.
Fio Bank had 1.374 million clients at the end of last year. The number includes Czech and Slovak Fio bank. Although she did not specify the number of clients in the Czech Republic, at the beginning of this year she boasted that she already had 200,000 clients in Slovakia.
