Sisters Fátima and Emely Pérez left their mark on the BS UES team’s 14-2 victory against Teotepeque by contributing three goals each on the opening day of the women’s group A of the Beach Soccer League CEL Cup 2024.
For Fátima Pérez, national team member and beneficiary of the Effort and Glory Program, it was a good return to the ranks of the university team after a year of playing with Barra de Santiago, which last year was runner-up.
“I was very excited to return to Beach Soccer League action and to take our first victory. It is the second time that I am with the UES, last year I played with the Barra de Santiago. I feel proud and happy to wear the team shirt and do what I like,” commented Fátima from the sand of the Barra de Santiago field, which was her home.
