Caracas. Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro revealed that so far this year, state security agencies have dismantled four conspiracies against his country, financed and prepared from the United States and Colombia.
“This year 2024 we have dismantled four conspiracies, all prepared from Miami, financed from Miami by the gringos, all the conspiracies, the five from last year, the four from this year prepared from Colombia by the secret base of the DEA (Department Control Administration). of Drugs), the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) and the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation),” said Maduro during his television program “Con Maduro.”
The president explained that the conspiracies are directed by officials of the Colombian governments of Álvaro Uribe Vélez (2002-2010) and Iván Duque (2018-2022).
“I have the names, I will reserve them for the next few days, I have the names of the high-level officials who were in previous governments of Uribe Vélez, of Iván Duque, and direct the entire campaign against Venezuela, the entire conspiracy against Venezuela,” he commented.
According to the Government, between 2023 and so far this year, the authorities managed to deactivate nine conspiracies that aimed to attack military installations and carry out attacks against leaders of the Maduro administration.
In this regard, the Prosecutor’s Office announced in February that a total of 15 people were arrested for their alleged connection with the so-called “White Bracelet” plan, which had the purpose of assassinating President Nicolás Maduro and other officials of his administration.
Among those detained is the president of the NGO Control Ciudadano, Rocío San Miguel, who according to the Public Ministry would be in charge of liaison with the digital media in the execution of the assassination plan, as well as leaders of the political organization Vente Venezuela, from the opposition María Corina Machado.
