Toyota Premium brand Lexus has improved the compact model UX, which has acquired a more powerful hybrid device, more modern electronic assistants and a multimedia device.
In 2024, the Lexus UX gets a more powerful hybrid device that develops 146 kW (199 hp) instead of the previous 135 kW (184 hp). The all-wheel drive version will now have a 30 kW (41 hp) electric motor attached to the rear axle, which has replaced the previously used 5.3 kW (7 hp) motor. All versions of the UX will now ship with a 60-cell, 222-volt lithium-ion battery built in instead of the previously used nickel-metal hydride battery.
The manufacturer has indicated that the Lexus UX with front-wheel drive accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds, while the all-wheel drive model shortens the sprint time by 0.8 to 7.9 seconds compared to the previous model. Average fuel consumption: 5.0 to 5.7 liters.
The interior has a modernized multimedia complex, which is equipped with an eight-inch screen for the entry-level version, but starting with the Executive Line, the screen size increases to 12.3 inches. The electronic assistance systems gain two new functions: Proactive Driving Assistant uses the front camera to recognize potential dangers in city traffic when driving at low speeds, such as pedestrians crossing the street, parked cars and cyclists, while Safe Exit Assist prevents accidents that can occur when doors are opened carelessly and injuring cyclists or motorcyclists approaching from behind.
