SKELLEFTEÅ. Andreas Johnson missed a tackle in the middle zone and flew into the rim.
The Skellefteå star did not play anymore and it was speculated that he was seriously injured.
– It feels good, Johnson replies on his way out of the arena.
Andreas Johnson ended up in the spotlight after the first semi-final match against Frölunda.
Then he accused Frölunda’s players of injuring the opponents.
Today he went full speed himself against Linus Högberg in the middle zone, missed the tackle and flew into the sideline with his right arm.
“It’s off”
The forward was in pain and went bent over to the booth where he received treatment before the Skellefteå player then left and did not return again in the match.
TV4 then showed images where expert Staffan Kronwall interpreted it as Johnson being seriously injured.
– It is unfortunate for Andreas, of course, who is trying to put in a tackle on Högberg, who he has been chasing the whole match, they have been at each other and he wants to put in a shot there. Högberg spins out of it at the same time as Andreas falls unhappily into the edge there. He misses the tackle and flies into the sideline. Johnson’s response: “Have you become a lip reader?”
Skellefteå’s coach Robert Ohlsson was, as usual in playoff times, tight-lipped about the star forward’s status afterwards.
– He went out and we’ll see how things turn out in the future.
Skellefteå is already missing the injured Jonathan Pudas and Pär Lindholm. When asked how he sees the injury list growing, Ohlsson replies:
– I don’t know if it grows. We’ll see on Wednesday, really.
Andreas Johnson was not available for interviews after the match, but Sportbladet caught sight of him when he left the arena and had time to ask a question about the status.
Then he was in good spirits.
– It feels good, he replied.
Speaking of the aforementioned speculations, he replied with a smile:
– Have you become a lip reader now?
Skellefteå won the match after extra time.
