Amanda Lind is a former minister of culture and current chairman of the Riksdag’s culture committee. She has been a municipal councilor in Härnösand and is a former party secretary.
– I hope to be able to contribute with a clearer communication, an ideological but also concrete communication that shows how we can make the environmental and climate transition in the whole country, says Lind to DN.
She points out that MP has the strongest confidence in environmental and climate issues.
– People must also be able to trust that we see the other issues that are important to people in their everyday lives, welfare and a good school, and that the gaps are reducing, she says.
How do you see MP’s role in politics?
– We must sit in government. We must be in all decision-making rooms, because that is where we can make the most difference. It is urgent. We must reduce emissions, first by 2030, then by 2045.

In addition to Amanda Lind has MP’s economic policy spokesperson Janine Alm Ericson and Riksdag member Annika Hirvonen have said that they are running for the spokesperson position. Alm Ericson states that she stands by her candidacy.
“Amanda is a good candidate, but I also have broad support in the party, not least from Grön ungdom. It means a lot. I have therefore chosen to remain with my candidacy”, writes Alm Ericson to DN.
Annika Hirvonen will not remain as a candidate. She tells DN that she supports Amanda Lind.
– I have great confidence that Amanda will do a fantastic job as spokesperson.
A new female spokesperson is to be chosen by the party at a digital extra congress on April 28.
Märta Stenevi has been mouthpiece since 2021. As recently as November, she was re-elected by Congress. After being on sick leave for some time, Stenevi announced at the beginning of February that she was resigning.
If Amanda Lind is elected, she will lead the party together with Daniel Helldén. He was also the election committee’s candidate and was elected by the congress in November – with a margin of one vote to the opposing candidate Magnus P Wåhlin.
