“We are suing the mayor of Fidesz collaborator Szigetszentmiklós due to the lies he told on Péter Magyar’s stage,” writes DK in its announcement.
In 2019, Nagy won with the support of the opposition and Péter Márki-Zay’s Everyone’s Hungary Movement, but now he spoke more for the opposition, from the Szigetszentmiklós representatives to Ferenc Gyurcsány.

Among other things, he referred to former DK representative Attila Jószai, whom he dismissed from the position of deputy mayor. His dismissal was illegal, but then Jószai himself resigned, according to his claim, because he believed that Nagy made decisions that were contrary to their election program, for example, he gave advantages to companies that maintained a personal relationship with him.
János Nagy said at the demonstration that Attila Jószai often visits László Kövér at his local house. According to DK, however, Jószai not only did not visit László Kövér, but also never spoke to him.
“The Democratic Coalition is suing János Nagy, the Fidesz collaborator mayor of Szigetszentmiklós, for his lies. It is not by chance that DK and Momentum put up opposition candidates against him in Szigetszentmiklós, since János Nagy – as ‘opposition’ mayor – he voted his six million reward with Fidesz representativesdespite Attila Jószai’s protest,” read the statement of the DK.
