The National Sports Institute of El Salvador (INDES) has everything ready for the start of the fourth edition of the Beach Soccer League (LFP) 2024, which this year will have the participation of 41 teams, 12 more than in the last ones. editions. In the men’s branch, 24 will compete and in the women’s, 17.

The competition will be divided into four men’s and three women’s groups, made up of six teams each. The first phase of the tournament will be played in a two-round, one-on-one format.

At the end of the regular stage, in men’s, the first three teams in each group will advance to the first category. While in women, there will be 10 teams that will play in the first category, the three best in each group and the best fourth.

In the next stage, the teams will face each other in a single group, one against all. The first eight best move on to the quarterfinals, where they will play the series in the best of two games and, then, the winners advance to the semifinals, where they will fight for a place in the final and fight for the LFP title.

In the second category, two groups will be formed for each branch, according to their geographical location, one against all and the two best qualify for the semifinals, the winner of this series will advance to the final.

The teams registered to participate in the fourth edition of the LFP in the men’s branch are: Garita Palmera, Barra de Santiago, Barra Ciega, Teotepeque, San Salvador BS, BS-UES, Costa del Sol, San Marcelino, Rayos del Bajo Lempa, Joya Grande, La Herradura, Apulo Ilopango, Rancho Viejo, Puerto el Triunfo, La Pirraya, Corral de Mulas, La Canoa del Bajo Lempa, Isla de Méndez, Chirilagua, San Sebastián, Arcos del Espino, El Cuco, Warriors and El Espino.

The venues in which this edition of the LFP will be played are located in the departments of Ahuachapán, La Paz, Sonsonate, La Libertad, San Salvador, Usulután, San Miguel and San Vicente.

Tournament winners will receive cash prizes. The men’s champion will take home a purse of $3,000, while second place will pocket $2,000 and third place $1,000. For women, the prizes will be $2,000 for first place, $1,000 for second and $500 for third.

In the second category, the winners will receive a prize of $500 dollars for women and men.
