The picture of the fire that broke out in the Mavros Kolymbos area of ​​Lasithi, Crete, is better as, according to the fire department, there is no active front.

It is noted that until yesterday, three people were injured, including a 74-year-old man who was taken to the Venizelio hospital with burns and breathing problems and was intubated.

About 2,000 acres have been reduced to ash at Mavro Kolymbo in Ierapetra, Lasithi, as recorded by the Remote Sensing Laboratory of the ITE (Technology and Research Foundation) using Sentinel-2 satellite data. The data was recorded until midday on Saturday.

Also in red is the burnt area until noon, while in bright pink are the active fires that were moving towards the Koutsouras forest.

It is recalled that the settlements of Mavros Kolymbos, Achlia, Agia Fotia and Galini have been evacuated since yesterday morning and their residents, following messages sent to 112, have moved away from the areas due to the fire that occurred on Saturday morning.
