Morena and PAN see Guanajuato as political loot, says Álvarez Maynez

León, Gto. The National Action Party (PAN) and Morena do not give results in security because they see the state of Guanajuato as a “political loot,” accused the candidate for the presidency of the Republic for the Citizen Movement (MC), Jorge Álvarez Máynez.

The security strategy in Guanajuato has failed “double-wise” because the PAN and Morena blame each other for not addressing the situation, he said in response to a specific question.

At the federal level, militarization, punitivism, prohibitionism, or the disappearance of the Federal Police do not work, and in Guanajuato they have “elevated” the prosecutor, Carlos Zamarripa Aguirre, despite the terrible results, he considered in a tour he made in the state.

The example of the failed security policy in Mexico and Guanajuato are the “bloodbaths,” he recriminated.

“For them -PAN-Morena- the political loot that Guanajuato represents is more important than the problems of the people and the tranquility of the families, this is how they see politics,” he accused.

Celaya, where Morena candidate Gisela Gaytán was killed, has had insecurity problems for years, with displacement of people, with marches demanding peace and with floor charges, lamented Álvarez Máynez.

“It is very unfortunate to want to wash our hands and hold a single government entity or a single political party responsible in a situation as critical as this,” he considered.

-The thing is that they are petty, that they do not have the most basic empathy that must be had with society in the face of these types of events.

“I’m not surprised about them, everything for them is the next position, the electoral spoils, that’s how they understand it, because of that distraction the results that should be given are not given in such a sensitive matter that is security,” he reproached .

The candidate for the presidency of Mexico expressed solidarity with Gisela Gaytán’s family and with all the people who have lost their peace of mind.

Citizen Movement will ask the federal government for security for its candidates in Guanajuato because it does not trust the state authorities, he announced.

Given the failed security strategies and policies “we must change course” and rectify the evidence that there is no peace or justice, he said.
