Just think that in 2023 the chef’s cuisine arrived in Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi, a resort located both close to Velana airport and the capital of Male. Right there, as the Gourmet Reporter also reports, Carlo Cracco placed his pop up on him “Cracco Portofino“, that is, a small restaurant in which anyone can enter savor the refined cuisine of Carlo Cracco and enjoy the goodness of Italian flavours.
The chef must be very proud of this new leap forward that his cooking has done. Furthermore, it is no coincidence that the pop up you recently opened is called this way, that is, “Cracco Portofino”. The name of the pop up in the Maldives is the same as the place that the chef also has in Portofino, namely “Cracco Portofino” and which in recent weeks has reopened its doors after a period of closure due to the winter season.
Carlo Cracco announced the reopening on his social media via a Instagram posts. The reaction from people who follow him has been mostly positive, but sadly not everyone was able to appreciate it. Above all he, who at first glance seemed to be happy with the news, was rather disappointed by the opening of the place.
A happy reopening, but not for everyone
In recent weeks Carlo Cracco has announced on his Instagram profile the imminent reopening of his Portofino restaurantprecisely the “Cracco Portofino”.
He did so by publishing a photo of himself in the restaurant and accompanying the image with this caption: “The Cracco Restaurant in Portofino reopens on Friday 22 March. I’m waiting for you together with the whole brigade to start the new season again with great enthusiasm!“. Unfortunately, however, not everyone was enthusiastic about the reopening and in particular he was not.

A luxury he cannot afford
Many have appreciated the reopening of Carlo Cracco’s restaurant, but there are some who have not been able to appreciate it. Among these people there is also him, a person who he would like to taste Cracco’s cuisinebut who cannot afford to do so.
“I can not afford it” he commented dejectedly on the chef’s post. For him, enjoying a good meal at Carlo Cracco is probably too expensive.
